JOB SUMMARY

Come and join The Big Bakes team as our Sales and Event Booking Executive. You’ll manage a seamless and efficient selling and booking process for our private events across all four of our award winning locations. You’ll speak to potential customers, sell our wonderful events, help answer any questions they may have and manage their booking from first contact through to them arriving in our incredible baking venues. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

SALES AND CUSTOMER ENGAGEMENT:

  • Own the customer journey from the first enquiry to the successful completion of events.

  • Respond to all new leads via phone and follow up through our contact channels including email, phone and booking software, promptly following up on all enquiries.

  • Provide detailed information about our events and services, tailoring communication to customer needs and preferences.

  • Assist customers in selecting and booking the right event packages, promoting and upselling events and merchandise to maximise sales.​

BOOKING MANAGEMENT:

  • Manage all bookings meticulously using our platforms: Tripleseat, DMN, and Google Calendar.

  • Coordinate with the Commercial Teams, Ops Teams and Location managers ensuring accurate communication and scheduling.

  • Follow up on booked events to complete critical details such as invoices, payments, dietary requirements, guest numbers, and timings, within our booking standards.

ADMINISTRATION AND REPORTING:

  • Maintain accurate records of bookings and customer interactions.

  • Prepare monthly reporting and collating management information for regular sales meetings.

  • Ensure all customer data is handled in compliance with data protection regulations.

TEAM COLLABORATION:

  • Work closely with the Private Bookings Manager and the wider team to ensure a smooth operation and excellent customer service.

  • Show a positive can-do attitude towards making events happen for our guests including accommodating last minute events, special requests and unique enquiries whilst  communicating effectively with the team to manage last-minute bookings.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience in sales & customer service 

  • Exceptional organisational skills with a strong attention to detail.

  • A customer-first attitude, as you will be the first point of contact for our customers, promoting The Big Bakes and our events.

  • Professional and friendly demeanour, with the ability to support customers with their booking queries.

  • Ability to work well under pressure, handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and work to deadlines.

  • Self-motivated, with the ability to use initiative and recognize high-value customers and upselling opportunities.

  • Enthusiastic communicator, both online and over the phone, with a deep knowledge of our brand and services.

  • Comfortable with using a range of booking & organisational software
